Hiking The Highest Mountain in North Africa

At 4,167 meters (13,671 feet), Mt. Toubkal is the highest peak in Morocco, in North Africa, and in the entire Arab world. And we hiked it last week. It was the hardest hike I’ve ever done. Adam planned this trip right when we first arrived to Morocco back in September. Perhaps he thought climbing a […]

Terraces, Olives Trees, and Roman Baths in Battir

There’s a quiet, terraced, Arab village outside of Bethlehem called Battir where water from a cold spring flows through an ancient water system to hydrate abundant olive trees and vegetables that have grown here for thousands of years. Battir is off-limits to me for personal travel, as are many towns in the West Bank and […]

Working from my stand-up desk (aka, the boho bar) and Boj just wants to be where I am.
Is there a Skillshare class that teaches you what to do with your hands when you pose for a photo? Asking for me.
Magnificent sunset.
One very good thing about being back in Michigan: the restaurants have reopened! Revisited one of my teenage favorites, @savas_ann_arbor, which used to be a hippy vegetarian restaurant in a basement. Now it’s bright and stylish with an extra delicious menu.
Had a super fun weekend getaway with the nieces at the winter wonderland of @boyne.highlands. Tubing, zipline, a super heated outdoor pool, and my favorite: Cross-country skiing.
This is me, walking in what looks like the Michigan wilderness, but it’s really a path around a soccer field near my parents’ subdivision. We’re back in Michigan, and for a not fun medical reason. (I posted about it on my blog, TheNextDinnerParty). So while it’s upending to be here, awaiting another surgery, it’s cozy to be with family, snow, a fireplace, and all the carbs you could shake a (bread)stick at.
